A sky opening to the horizon, light unraveling on the water's surface. By minimally depicting the shape of the shore, a stillness arises, as if you can hear the sound of the waves. Hiroko Hashimoto does not exaggerate her brushstrokes but layers watercolors of different concentrations horizontally, imbuing the sky's gradation with the feel of the time of day. The sparkle of the water's surface is scattered with light touches of dots, and the rock face gains texture from blurred outlines and wavering shades. It is a landscape that quietly transports you to a place a little far from everyday life.

About poster paper
We use the thickest grade ofヴァンヌーボV-FS, a premium printing paper that achieves an excellent balance between vibrant color reproduction and a pleasing paper texture, two properties that are often at odds. It is also FSC certified*. Due to its thickness, it is less susceptible to the effects of humidity and environmental changes, and is characterized by its resistance to curling and warping.
*FSC certification evaluates and certifies whether forest management and logging are carried out with consideration for the environment and local communities, and certifies products derived from such forests (products made from responsibly managed forest timber). The FSC (Forest Stewardship Council®: headquartered in Germany), an NGO, operates the certification.
Regarding the frame
This original frame uses pine wood processed to reduce shape changes caused by dryness or humidity as a core material, wrapped with beautiful, warp- and crack-resistant wood veneer.
Natural wood (surface veneer) / Backing board: MDF*1 / Transparent sheet: PET*2
*1 A board made by crushing wood into fibers and then forming them. Known as an eco-friendly material with high recyclability, as it utilizes wood chips and thinnings to effectively use wood resources.
*2 Extremely lightweight while having similar transparency to glass. It does not produce toxic gases when burned, so it is often used for food containers such as PET bottles.
