Gentle ridge lines overlap, and the expansive water surface reflects the sky. The sparkle of points seems to gently visualize the flow of time. Hiroko Hashimoto's depiction is striking in that it doesn't explain with dry lines, but rather blurs the boundaries with a moist quality, creating layers of air. The distant view has overlapping color planes with slightly shifted outlines, while the foreground water surface has faint planes that softly shift, and the stippled touches emerge as specks of light. It's a piece that creates a serene depth in a room.

A watercolor artist from Ehime Prefecture, currently based in Kagawa Prefecture. After graduating from the Western Painting Course in the Department of Fine Arts at Nara College of Arts, and gaining experience as a web designer, she began her career as an artist in 2020. About poster paper.

Made with the thickest paper of Van Nuovo V-FS, a premium printing paper that achieves a high level of balance between the opposing qualities of excellent color reproduction and a pleasant paper texture, and is also FSC certified*. Its thickness makes it less susceptible to humidity and environmental changes, and it is also characterized by its resistance to warping and curling.

*FSC certification is a system that evaluates and certifies whether forest management and logging are carried out with consideration for the environment and local communities, and proves that a product originates from such forests (products made from properly managed forest timber). It is operated by FSC (Forest Stewardship Council®: headquarters in Germany), an NGO.

About the frame (picture frame)

To reduce shape changes due to dryness and humidity, we use pine wood, which is processed from pine trees, as the core material, and an original frame wrapped with veneer that has a beautiful grain and is less prone to warping or cracking.

Natural wood (surface veneer) / Backboard MDF※1 / Transparent board PET※2

*1 A board made by pulverizing wood into a fibrous powder and then molding it. Because it utilizes wood resources effectively, including end pieces and thinned-out trees, it is known as an eco-friendly material with high recyclability.
*2 It has a similar transparency to glass but is extremely lightweight. Because it doesn't produce toxic gases when burned, it's a commonly used material for food containers such as PET bottles.
